ICLN Season's Lectures

ICLN organises four Season's Lectures a year. ICLN members and their guests are invited to The Hague for these quarterly networking events. The aim of ICLN Lectures is to create structural social interaction between practitioners, academics and policymakers concerned with international criminal law. Every ICLN Lecture an internationally renowned expert is invited to give a short lecture that stimulates discussion and exchange of knowledge between those present. Attendance of ICLN's Lectures is free for ICLN members, non-members pay € 10,-. this includes the reception afterwards. If you would like to attend the next ICLN Lecture, please send an email to Maartje Jansen

 

 

ICLN's Annual Reception will take place on 25 June 2008, 16:00h, in the Carlton Ambassador Hotel in The Hague. This lecture is dedicated to the 10th Anniversary of the Rome Statute.

Mark Richard, US Counselor for Criminal Justice matters assigned to the US mission to the EU and Luigi Soreca, European Commission gave their comments on the topic 'The Importance of International Legal Cooperation for the US and the EU'. 1 March 2006 Reception at the Carlton Ambassador Hotel. Sophie in 't Veld, Euro Parliamentarian for the Liberal Democrats gave a lecture on 'American Counter-terrorism in Europe'
15 December 2006 Reception during ICLN's 4th Annual Conference at the World Forum Convention Centre.
5 October 2005 Reception at the topfloor of the Hoftoren, The Hague's tallest building. Hans Nilsson from the General Secretariat of the European Council gave a lecture on "The Development of a European Criminal Law". 
8 June 2005 Annual Reception at the Carlton Ambassador Hotel. Judge Pillay, from the ICC, gave her comments on the topic of "The ICC in the Near Future" and Jan Wouters, Professor of International Law at the Catholic Univeristy of Leuven, held a lecture on "The ICC in Dafur: Expectations, Possibilities and Difficulties".
6 April 2005 Reception at Clingendael, the Netherlands Institute of International Relation. Jaap de Zwaan, Professor of European Law at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and Director of Clingendael starting the 1st of September, held a lecture on the topic of "The Hague Programme, strengthening freedom, security and justice in the European Union".
