ICLN Spring Lecture 2010

Short summary

On April 7th ICLN held its annual Spring Lecture at the law firm Buren van Velzen Guelen. The presentation was held by the Vice - President of Eurojust, Mrs. Coninsx. Several key issues were addressed, such as the structure of judicial co-operation within Europe from 1999 till 2009. Mrs. Coninsx provided an indepth overview of the recent development and progression of Eurojust with regards to harmonization, approximation and mutual recognition. The conclusion focused on the necessity of building confidence. Such confidence will be of great assistance concerning the cooperation and coordination that are slowly being implemented within the European Criminal Law system. Progressive changes will ultimately benefit the Lisbon Treaty.

After lecture there was time for drinks and talks at the informal reception.

ICLN thanks Buren van Velzen Guelen for hosting the ICLN Spring Lecture 2010
